ABSTRACT

This study aims to investigate the effect of exercise interventions on improving efficacy among college students with limited mobility. The study assessed the effectiveness of adapted exercise programs tailored based on the health profiles and preferences of the participants. The study group included college students with limited mobility. The participants exhibited a range of pre-existing health conditions, including asthma, injury, and scoliosis. Among these conditions, asthma was reported most frequently. However, the researchers completed modification and adaptation exercises, and no significant improvements or modifications were observed in the post-test scores of the subjects' Fundamental Movement Screen (FMS). The lack of a significant relationship suggested that there might have been additional variables that had a greater effect on the post-test FMS performance of the individuals. The findings of this study emphasized the importance of considering individual preferences and other factors outside exercise modifications to enhance the effectiveness of exercise programs for students with limited mobility.
