ABSTRACT
The study investigated the effect of mathematics laboratory on junior secondary school students’ learning engagement in Geometry. A quasi-experimental two group pretest-posttest research design was utilized with the participation of 87 students. Students’ Learning Engagement Questionnaire (SLEQ) developed by the researchers was used to measure students learning engagement in Geometry. The findings indicated that mathematics laboratory had significant effect on junior secondary school students’ learning engagement in Geometry. However, gender was not found as a factor of learning engagement. Some recommendations were made based on the results of the study.
